For this meatless monday a vegetarian hamburger, made with chickpeas and beets. I created this burger Friday, it was experimental, but it worked out so well! The taste and structure was so good and quite easy to make. For this cool burger, I have an awesome beat produced by Lumoon & Robin and released @saltedmusicofficial! Love this funky rolling bassline, cool sound and a classic vocal. Damnn good! See the ingredients of my burger below. Ciao!
Ingredients
150 gr chickpeas
2 big cooked beets
150 gr cooked buckwheat (It gives the burger a good bite)
1 garlic clove
1 onion
1 egg
salt,pepper and lemongrass.
* When your burgermash is too thin or watery, add some flour, I added chickpeasflour.
* Harissa paste (if you like it more spicy)
Bake the mash in a hot pan for a few minutes on both sides and build your delicious beetburger!
For the burger itself I used grilled pitabread, avocado, cumcumber, cress, slaw and a spicy sauce made with yogurt and harissa. Voila beetburger on a pita!
